Have you heard of the Jing Project?

This is an amazing product. You can use your computer to show people how to do something. Not just by looking over your shoulder at your computer screen , but from their computer screen, wherever they are! I was introduced to this by my friend Andrea. She wanted to show me how to use a new program for a joint project our two companies were working on. She sent me an email with directions on where to find the information. I was able to watch her walk through the application (via video of her screen shots) without her on the telephone or in my office! She lives on the east coast and I live on the west coast. We didn’t have to coordinate a time for a conference call or a webinar. The information she created was there waiting for me to view and learn from on my own time!

With Jing Project you can capture images, record video, and share online. It’s free too!
Think of Jing as a supplement to all your chat discussions, email threads, forum posts and blog entries. It sits nicely on your desktop, ready to capture and share your stuff at a moment’s notice. Simply select an area of your screen, capture it as an image or record it as a video, and then click Share. Jing conveniently places a URL to your content which you can paste into any of your conversations.
